This particular work-from-home medical scribe opportunity works 20-22 hrs a week. Schedule is Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur 10am to 5pm Central Standard Time. Everyother Tuesday morning you have off and just work that afternoon 1-5pm. Friday is off

Our medical scribes, while working remotely/virtually from the safety of their own homes, are connected to their assigned provider live via the internet who could possibly be in an entirely different state. We issue the scribe a laptop and all the software and the provider has an iPad in their clinic patient room. The scribe/provider have two way conversation audibly thru the scribes laptop and the provider's iPad and they can share screens. The scribe enters relevant information into the EMR live from the patient-provider conversation. The scribe and provider are connected audibly and share screens. There is no recording or video. Just as if the scribe was in the clinic room but is not - it is done virtually.

Our scribes are matched to scribe for one provider thus allowing the scribe and provider to become an efficient team so to allow the scribe to provide the best quality dedicated scribe services to that one provider by really getting to know how that provider wants their documentation.

Pay for this position starts at $14 per hour.

This is an independent contractor opportunity.

Required Qualifications:

• Availability to work 20-22 hrs a week. Schedule is Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur 10am to 5pm Central Standard Time. Everyother Tuesday morning you have off and just work that afternoon 1-5pm. Friday is off
• Ability to work these shifts without interruptions or breaks.
• At least 3 years of experience working closely with medical providers in a clinical in-patient room setting with strong knowledge of medical terminology, treatment plans, medications, diagnosis, charting, etc.
• 2+ years of Cerner EMR experience .
• Have a home environment where you can work without being distracted and can complete the entire assigned daily shift without interruptions or need to leave work to take or pick up children from school during the assigned shift
• Be very familiar and experienced with using/completing all sections of the SOAP notes in a clinical patient-provider setting.
