Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

• Participates in the analysis of internal and external data and performs statistical modeling to develop actionable insights and recommendations to management regarding business and product performance.
• Develops data mining architectures/models/protocols, statistical reporting, and data analysis methodologies to identify trends and extract knowledge from large, high dimensional data sets.
  • Identifies areas to increase efficiency and automation of data analysis processes.
  • Translate business problems/opportunities into technical requirements and data science specifications.
• Participates in the creation of solutions that enable enhanced business performance and decision making through a range of data preparation, modeling, analysis and/or visualization techniques.
• Collaborates with key leaders and clinicians to build analytical acumen across all analytic roles in the organization.
• Participate in using artificial intelligence and machine learning to develop processes automation.
• Researches and applies knowledge of existing and emerging data science principles, theories, and techniques to inform business decisions.
• Presents results in a clear and professional manner.
• Develops and maintains business knowledge and customer relationships.
• Stays abreast of state-of-the-art literature in the fields of operation research, statistical modeling, statistical process control and mathematical optimization.
• May estimate the economic impact of operational decisions.
• Ability to work up to 2 days remotely.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in data science, computer science, operations research, statistics, applied mathematics, or a related quantitative field or equivalent work experience is required.

Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience exploring and manipulating large data sets, leveraging structured and unstructured data sources, and applying predictive modeling. Experience in techniques for optimizing models, machine learning, and proficiency in analytical programming languages.

Ideal candidate will possess:

• Prior experience in healthcare working with claims data (ICD-10, MS-ORG, CPT/HCPCS)
• Intermediate development skills in Python/R
• Advanced knowledge of SQL language
• Ability & experience to develop machine learning and/or deep learning approaches to solve clinical and business problems
• Ability and experience to perform independent/unsupervised exploratory data analysis and statistical analysis
