Huntington-Hill Imaging Center (managed by California Medical Business Services, LLC) is dedicated to improving medical practices through the use of innovative technologies, strategic partnerships, and years of industry experience. Our efforts are directed toward providing quality patient care in the Radiology field. Our team consists of Board Certified Radiologists, Medical Administrators, Technologists, Billing and Scheduling staff, and Patient Support staff.

We are currently seeking an Medical Data Entry Supervisor to provide support to the data entry team. This full-time position will have a 40 hour/week day-shift schedule of 8:00am - 4:40pm, Monday thru Friday and is located at our Business office in Arcadia. We welcome you to apply!

Pay rate: $25/hour

The Medical Data Entry Supervisor is responsible for managing accurate, timely completion and submission of all data entry functions. This includes charges and payments for all practices. This position oversees staff to ensure all payments are posted and all charges are received and processed on a daily basis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)

  • Supervise daily tasks of the Data Entry team.
  • Responsible for department staffing.
  • Train new employees and monitor for successful acclamation to the team.
  • Encourage and support employees in learning new tasks.
  • Enforce HR policies and Labor Laws (attendance, meal breaks, dress code, cell phones, etc).
  • Perform annual performance evaluations with the Revenue Cycle Director.
  • Enforce Safety program and Security policies.
  • Identify front end issues that prevents us from sending “clean claims”. Provide possible solutions and/or suggestions to improve department functionality.
  • Ensure all charges are billed out (Exceptions, Anonymous, Look Up keys, etc) within 7 days.
  • Monitor coding files to ensure daily transmission for all clients.
  • Monitor client charge and demographic files to ensure daily receipt.
  • Print refund checks for all practices.
  • Ensure checks are shredded after 30 days from clearing the bank.
  • Develop team goals and identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain a positive and respectful department in line with company ideals.
  • Assist data entry employees as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of experience in medical billing.
  • Experience in an office setting environment using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform job duties.
  • Basic proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications.
  • Typing skills (minimum of 40 words per minute).
  • 10 key skills and basic math skills necessary.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Understanding of healthcare claims.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10, HCPCS and CPT coding.
  • Knowledge of various insurances (HMO, PPO, Medicare, Medi-Cal, and others).
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to communicate professionally in writing and verbally
