As an Estimator, you will will be working in one of our markets sectors: Commercial Buildings(healthcare, higher education, mission critical, retail, national laboratories). Advanced Technology (semiconductor manufacturing, renewable energy), or Industrial (manufacturing, chemical processing, power generation, food processing). DKB,Inc. today has an immediate need for a experienced mechanical insulation estimator to join our Phoenix Arizona Team.

Job Summary:

• Analyze blueprints, projects front ends, specifications, proposals,and other documentation in order to prepare material, labor, equipment costs and the end result of which is to prepare a complete project estimate that after review shall be developed into a proposal to be presented to our clients.
• Display proficiency in the use of MIKE estimating systems. Be able to understand and change specific specifications in the software as it applies to estimation of projects.
• Be proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office products with emphasis on Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, and Project.
• Either be proficient in the use of Bid Tracer or have the ability to do so with in 30 days of employment.
• Display an understanding of mechanical insulation industry including local and federal energy codes, and national standards.
• Labor and material costs associated with the mechanical insulation industry inclusive of national labor standards.
• Have an advanced understanding of developing design build budgets for installed mechanical insulation on all mechanical systems regardless of whither it is pipe, duct or equipment insulation.
• Have the ability to prepare estimates, proposals and budgets that have the approate labor factors,correct scope of work and exclusions and communicate them to our clients via written format.
• Possess the ability to communicate fairly and accurately with Clinets, Vendors, Labor Unions and internal staff to acheive a successful estiamte and devlop long term realtionships based on trust.
• Develop and supply submittals when required for a project.
• Follow up with clients on all bids to gather project informatin and rid results in a timely manner and to be able to generate a contract or sale from each estimate.
• Particapate and attend all required weekly estimators meetings, sales calls as required, and at least 16 hours of continuing education per year of employment.
• Ability to utilize proper time magement skills, be orgianized and maintain organized estiamte and bid files.
• Possess the ability to work well under pressure, meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines while always demonstrating cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors, clients and vendors.

Education/Experience:

• 3 plus years of estimating and take -off experience with a focus on mechanical insulation systems.
• AA or Bachelors Degree in Cosntruction Management. or equlivant experience.
• Ability to reand mechanical drawings, specifications.
