Regional Medical Center of San Jose is a 264 bed acute care hospital with a Level II Trauma Center. The hospital provides a host of technologically advanced services including Cardiovascular, Neuro, Orthopedic, Bariatric and General Surgery, Interventional Pulmonology and services for Women. Regional holds Joint Commission advanced certification as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and a Get with the Guidelines- Stroke Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. County-designated STEMI (heart attack) Receiving Center designated Lung Cancer Screening Center, a member of Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ECMO) and certified by The Joint Commission in Sepsis care.

SCHEDULE: 0.001 PRN, Per Diem, As needed
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Material Specialist can be responsible for processing the receipt of all inbound freight by packing slip and purchase order, as well as processing all outbound shipments from the warehouse. The Material Specialist can be responsible for replenishing product that has been received into its assigned stocking location. The Material Specialist can be responsible for processing, picking, packing, staging and shipping of all customer orders. Inventory accuracy is the job of all warehouse associates.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Preferred: Previous warehousing experience preferred; prior computer experience preferred.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum: High School Diploma or GED required.

Communication - communicates clearly and concisely.
Customer orientation - establishes and maintains long-term customer relationships, building trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations.
Interpersonal skills - able to work effectively with other employees, patients and external parties.
PC skills - demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and others as required
Policies and Procedures - demonstrates knowledge and understanding of organizational policies, procedures and systems.
Basic skills - able to perform basic mathematical calculations, balance and reconcile figures, punctuate properly, spell correctly and transcribe accurately.
Technical skills - able to operate a fork lift vehicle and a motorized pallet jack.
