A DAY IN THE LIFE:

Responsible for receiving material, planning and scheduling the movement of goods and related material through inventory process. Follows up on purchase orders placed and maintains necessary records of material movement throughout inventory cycle(s). Coordinates and follows up with procurement team to ensure appropriate inventory levels, scheduling, and movement of materials and services are available to support sales demand.

YOU’RE AWESOME AT:

  • Receives material as it arrives from vendors and enter transaction into the ERP system
  • Transfer materials to Quality for inspection, inventory management, kitting material for builds at Contract Manufacturer (CM), and occasional physical transport of material, tooling, and/or fixturing to local CM facility
  • Interface with both internal (Operations, Supply Chain, Product Development (PD), Quality, Clinical, Marketing teams) and external (CM, Material Suppliers) resources
  • Determine internal and external customer needs, schedule orders depending on individual supplier lead times (factoring in qualifications/inspection durations), and interface with internal Buyer function to ensure orders are placed when needed.
  • Responsible to ensure engineering documentation is current in Tandem document control system.
  • Developing accurate demand forecasts by using a combination of statistical forecasting integrated with insights gained via partnering with internal Marketing, Operations, PD, Clinical, and Finance departments.
  • Creates Purchase Schedule and converts schedule to detailed, sequenced Production Orders on a daily or weekly basis.
  • Identifying and minimizing risk by predicting the demand/scheduling orders for products with no interruption to Production.
  • Developing/maintaining statistical safety stock strategy.
  • Maintains ERP System supplier and item master data for assigned parts and suppliers.
  • Confirms completion of required training plan before assuming job responsibilities and performs on-going training requirements in a timely manner.
  • Takes ownership of order management to ensure issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner (following up with internal and external partners).
  • Cross functional leadership across departments to solve for demand related issues caused by forecast error, demand constraints, unplanned promotional opportunities, etc.
  • Hands-on management of inventory and timely order fulfillment.
  • Material Requirement Planning (MRP)/Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Ensures work is performed in compliance with company policies including Privacy/HIPAA and other regulatory, legal, and safety requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge, skills & abilities:

  • Knowledge and application of principles outlined in Quality System Regulations (QSRs/GMPs/GDPs).
  • Experience with ERP system
  • Experienced with purchasing/receiving transactions
  • Able to assert own ideas and persuade others through effectively consolidating, evaluating, and presenting relevant information.
  • Skilled at promoting team cooperation and a commitment to team success.
  • Adept at seeing change as an opportunity to improve business performance and campaigning for it when necessary.
  • Ability to forge strong, effective, and transparent customer relationships while also protecting Company’s interest. Skilled at ensuring common understanding of requirements and expectations.
  • Excellent skills in the following areas: verbal and written communication, interpersonal relationships, organization, and time-management.
  • Ability to multi-task and problem-solve in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Reliable, flexible, and detail orientated with a high sense of urgency.
  • Willingness and ability to continue to learn new skills, processes, and technologies.
  • Ability to work independently.

Minimum certifications/educational level:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations or related field of study
  • 3+ yrs. experience working in the following is preferred:
  • Supply Chain (Scheduling and forecasting; Inventory Management - cycle count, physical inventory, organization)
  • Medical device Manufacturing, or an ISO 13485 & FDA-regulated industry
  • Domestic and International travel may be required.
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), MRP/ERP software, planning/scheduling software, and other applicable software.
