Description
The role of Shipping Leader is to ensure that scheduled customer orders are shipped on time ensuring cost effective and timely transport.
Duties
Shipping
· Complete waybills
· Meet daily shipping deadlines
· Order trucks / couriers
· Organize all shipping requirements
· Pack orders
· Verify materials and quantities shipped as described on documents
Receiving
· Check for and note damage on shipments received
· Place products and materials in inventory
· Prepare for and conduct inventory quantity checks
· Receive materials into Thermon’s MRP database to manage inventory and verify completeness of deliveries
· Unload trailers
· Verify Count and Completeness on Packing Slips
· Arrange and schedule deliveries for large shipments
· Work with Purchasing and AP to keep the MRP system accurate
General
· Able to work overtime when necessary
· Enter data into computer systems
· File and or scan all manner of paperwork and records
· Operate the forklift, pallet jack, and other equipment
· Other duties as assigned
