Position Responsibility

• Ensure the machine equipment is always in good and safe condition and maintained clean

• Abides by all Amcor’s Safety and Quality policies and procedures.

• Knows and practices safe and proper start-up and shutdown procedures for each machine

• Makes necessary machine adjustments, visual and color acuity necessary to operate machine (colored lights and switches).

• Pushing/pulling plastic gaylord; empty (approx. 140lbs); cardboard gaylord empty, approx. 50lbs.

• Manual dexterity to push/throw bottles and preforms down chute onto conveyor

• Ability to make independent decisions, mechanically minded.

• The Grinder Operator has the authority to shut down production equipment to prevent the production defective product.

• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum requirements

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

· Ability to visually distinguish fine variations in color and other visual defects.

· Ability to lift 30 pounds and push/pull 50/60 on a frequent basis

· Employees are required to stand / walk for working hours of shifts
