I am the 100% owner of an established electrical contracting company in Salem, Oregon. I founded it over 10 years ago. Great company. Awesome atmosphere. Fantastic location. Excellent team. There is only one problem, I am not a licensed electrician.

I want to find a partner that wants to grow the company, make great money, kick butt and take names and be awesome amazing at what we do. I will sell you 20% ownership through a sweat equity agreement. I will sell you up to 49% ownership through a combination of sweat equity and cash investment.

This is a try it before you buy it situation. Day one you would become an employee in the Construction Manager position. This position is full time. Salary is $90 - $120k per year DOE. Full benefits after 60 days including company paid medical/dental for you and your eligible dependents and 4 weeks per year PTO. You would be provided a private office, cell phone, and a company truck with gas card. Specific job description can be developed around your current skill set but will include largely the field supervision of multiple installation crews on multiple project sites residential and commercial ranging from Eugene to Portland. Progression towards ownership to be negotiated fairly between us.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR PARTNERSHIP POSITION:

1. Oregon Electrical Signing Supervisor License

2. Good/Excellent Personal Credit

3. Positive Personal Net Worth

4. Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with no more than (2) moving violations in the prior three years. No major violations or DUI in the prior 15 years.

5. Clean Criminal Record with no criminal convictions in prior 10 years and no prior convictions that would impact your ability to gain approved clearance for entry and work in schools, hospitals, banking institutions, federal or state buildings, military buildings, etc.

6. No use of illicit/illegal drugs

7. No excessive use of alcohol

8. No smoking cigarettes or chewing tobacco use

9. A lifestyle that is becoming of a business owner. Discipline, professionalism, stability, responsibility, honesty, safety.

10. Excellent electrical installation and training skills in commercial and residential. The number one thing we need around here is an amazing electrician that can lead, train and supervise our team of electricians, apprentices and limited electrical maintenance technicians.

11. A commitment to construction safety.

12. A commitment to only top-quality, code compliant installation methods.

13. An amazing can-do positive attitude that is equal to my own.

14. A strong desire to learn all aspects of the business in general terms and equal participation in the high-level business strategy, decision making, policy and procedure, finance, marketing, sales, compliance, risk management, safety, human resources.

15. A quality image and reputation in the industry including the ability to win more quality customers and licensed installers for the company.

WHAT CAN I DO SINCE I AM NOT AN ELECTRICIAN?

A. Estimate commercial, residential, service. Teach you how if you need me to.

B. Electrical calculations. I am good with math. I have a certificate of completion from the General Signing Supervisor’s prep course.

C. I hold the company CCB license.

D. Electrical design including CAD/BlueBeam.

E. Project Management. Teach you how if you need me to.

F. Purchasing. Teach you how if you need me to.

G. Perform every single administrative task in this business myself if need be. Manage the administrative employees that perform these tasks daily.

H. Manage in-house performed company finances. Teach you how to if you need me to.

I. Perform all company IT tasks. I am excellent with computer systems.

J. Manage all the human resources, payroll, health insurance, all the benefits, all the reporting, all the policies and procedures we need to keep the business out of liability trouble.

K. Manage and supervise the company installation employees. I am weakest when it comes to supervising the installation means, methods, and quality.

L. Manage all company insurance, bond, licensing and compliance tasks.

M. Manage all aspects of state and federal contracting requirements.

N. I work very hard. I live a quality, clean, stable lifestyle “becoming of a business owner”

O. I manage my personal finances to the benefit of the company.

P. I have a fantastic personality and I am honest 100%.

Q. I have more than 20 years to go before I am full retirement age.
