Accountabilities:
- Lead a team to advance the state-of-the-art in the wireless technology, including generating patents.
- Engage with standard bodies and make technical contributions.
- Identify research directions and new research areas.
- Collaborate with teams in global locations to reach optimal outcome.
Qualifications:
- Master Degree in Electrical / Communication Engineering or in Computer Science with at least 10+ years of related work or research experience (or Ph.D. Degree with at least 5+ years of related work or research experience).
- Excellent wireless communication background including all system or link level aspects.
- Strong Mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience on wireless LAN (IEEE802.11) MAC/PHY layers protocol design and/or analysis is highly preferred. A good knowledge of wireless LAN protocol is required.
- Experience on standard development (WLAN (802.11be/11ax/11ac,..), 3GPP (RAN1/RAN2), etc.) is highly preferred. Track record of high impact contributions is a strong plus.
- Experience on link level or system level simulation (i.e., ns-3, OPNET) is required.
- Experience on wireless LAN systems, cellular systems, sensor network technologies, distributed networking technologies, or wireless PAN systems with excellent research record is preferred.
- Experience on cross-layer system design is a plus.
- Excellent Programming language knowledge, such as Matlab, C/C++, Python is required.
- Experience on millimeter waves or Terahertz waves (mmWave, 5G NR, 802.11ad/ay) technologies with excellent research record is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills. Ability to lead technical discussions for new features, drive consensus, and capture the results in writing in the form of designs, models, and requirements
- Must be able to travel domestically and internationally if required
- Flexibility and adaptability to work and collaborate with researchers in global locations
