Gas Path Solutions is seeking a highly motivated individual with entrepreneurial qualities to fill the role of Manager of Projects. At GPS we excel at providing Gas Turbine Power Plant Auxiliary equipment maintenance and repair in a short cycle highly competitive market. We provide engineered solutions to address equipment issues experienced by our customers and execute the repairs at their facility. GPS is a young company that is experiencing significant growth
These projects take place during periods when the plant is in a scheduled maintenance out emergency outage and typically are completed in 3-10 days working 24/7. Our customers include General
Electric, Florida Power and Light, Southern Company, Entergy, Invenergy and many others.
The Project Manager reports directly to the President and handles the execution of the project from engineering through procurement, shipping, and site work, while maintaining the project schedule and tracking project costs. In addition, the Project Manger will support the Sales and Estimating Team as they develop new opportunities. The applicant needs to be able to work independently, think on their feet, adapt, and learn, interface in all forms with customers, vendors, craft labor, including
Engineers, Project Managers, Sourcing, Quality, etc.
Qualifications
A degree in engineering or equivalent experience
Project or construction management experience
Skills
- Read and understand mechanical drawings
- Scheduling via Smart Sheet or MS Project
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
Knowledge of Gas Turbine Power Plant equipment or other mechanical equipment and familiarity with metal fabrication is a plus.
This is an in-person position located in Hubbardston, MA, during the outage season the individual will be on call during weekends to facilitate solutions to problems that may arise as the work is being executed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
