Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and independent Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and repairs in our employee housing facilities. The ideal candidate should be highly skilled in various aspects of building maintenance, have excellent communication skills, and be bilingual.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of housing facilities to identify maintenance needs
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and air filters, repairing plumbing fixtures, and fixing electrical outlets
- Repair and maintain heating and cooling systems
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure equipment and systems are running efficiently
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and property managers
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work
- Coordinate with property managers to ensure that maintenance tasks are completed within specified timeframes
- Assist with the coordination of larger repair projects
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in building maintenance and repair
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred
- Availability to work flexible hours, including on-call hours as needed
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Perform tasks that require climbing ladders, such as changing light fixtures and inspecting roofs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
