The Maintenance Technician will work on a variety of complex machine systems, including: conventional electronics, discreet control systems, direct current drives, variable speed drives, servo systems, numerical control technologies, robotics, 3DP systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities :
As the Maintenance Technician you will:
- Perform simple to very complex mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs on a variety of Precision production machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot, repair, service, install/uninstall, move, level and perform machine alignments to a variety of production machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot equipment utilizing programmable controls and computer numerical controls for a verity of Original Equipment Manufactures
- Operate various material-moving equipment (e.g., forklifts, scissor lift, aerial platforms, bridge, jib and gantry cranes) and use various associated shop equipment, including hand tools
- Demonstrate ownership of compliance, safety, quality, productivity and cost in position of responsibilities
- Must be a flexible team player and participate with problem solving and continuous improvements activities, both as an individual contributor and in a team setting
- Perform other assigned duties as required
Qualifications/Requirements :
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- A. S. Degree such as Electrical / Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Electronic Technology, Mechatronics, or comparable content degree program
- Minimum of 5 consecutive years of full-time experience in industrial machine tool maintenance including electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting, and repairs
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screen
- Willingness to work in a tobacco-free environment
- Ability to work overtime, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work occasional weekend shifts, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work 1st shift (6:45 AM -2:45 PM) with or without reasonable accommodation
- Willingness to wear all required personal protective equipment, for example: safety glasses, gloves, and safety shoes, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Successfull completion of a manufacturing assessment
This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
