Hours of work:
Monday – Friday; 9:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. (Regular hours as needed and appropriate to accommodate peak activity)


The Maintenance Manager II will have responsibility for actively participating in the plant safety program. They will assist in developing and actively managing the maintenance portion of the profit plan and plant capital plan. The Maintenance Manager will develop, recommend, engineer and execute capital projects. This role is responsible for leading the maintenance team in identifying, planning, scheduling, and maintenance activities in support of plant goals while ensuring all are performed to high quality standards. The Maintenance Manager will lead the Reliability Centered Maintenance program while continuously improving the predictive and preventative capabilities. This role will also plan, coordinate and execute facility turnarounds. The maintenance manager will be part of the plant management team that must effectively communicate with one another in order to accomplish plant goals and continuously improve the plant performance year over year.

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)
  • Environmental Health and Safety
    • Lead and strongly advocate safety in all activities.
    • Lead by example including execution of regular safety audits, safety contacts, near miss reports, safety meetings, incident investigation, etc.
  • Improvement Initiatives
    • Develops, recommends, engineers, and executes projects to expand plant production capacity, cost, and quality.
    • Leads Facilities Engineering on large capital projects.
    • Continuously reviews and evaluates new technology, processes, methods, and equipment for possible use.
  • Maintenance & Inspection
    • Lead the reliability centered maintenance program
    • Support NIP by ensuring safe and continuous production of finished product at established quality standards, within environmental permit requirements, and within financial constraints.
    • Plan, coordinate and execute facility Turnarounds that minimize cost of ownership while allowing the facility to continuously operate at or exceed production, quality, and on-stream standards.
  • Manufacturing Leadership & Management
    • Maximizes quality, throughput, and yield standards by directing the maintenance teams, contractors, and maintenance functions.
    • Reliability center maintenance lead.
    • Provide technical guidance as needed.
    • Manages and supports the Maintenance team to ensure optimum operation and function of plant facilities and equipment by focusing on true self-direction.
    • Provide clear direction and accountability.
    • Assesses and sources (in the most cost-effective manner) the technical and non-technical needs for maintenance personnel.
    • Manages and supports the Storeroom Associate to refine and preserve the plant stores and acquisition process so that it focuses on having the right parts in the right place at the right time.
    • Training for maintenance crew.
    • Vendor management for projects related.


Qualifications

  • An Associate Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is required (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering). Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • 10+ Years’ experience in maintenance and/or plant/facilities engineering is required.
  • Ability to perform training in both one-on-one and group settings is preferred.
  • Ability to systematically solve process problems and develop and implement solutions and verify improvement is preferred.
  • High degree of mechanical aptitude is preferred.
  • Solid communication, planning, and organizational skills are preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and experienced use of basic maintenance systems; mechanical and electrical/instrumentation knowledge and reliability practices is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and experience using personal computers, spreadsheets, and database programs is preferred.
  • Experience using SAP and Microsoft Project is preferred.
