Role Overview

  • In this Monday through Friday day shift role, your primary responsibilities will include manual and semi-automated activities related to shipping, receiving, inventory placement, and light assembly. This role will enable you to learn the entire distribution center environment. If you do not have equipment experience, but are willing to learn, we will train you on-site to appropriate OSHA guidelines to assist in your development. This is a unique position in that you get the opportunity to move around to gain full experience with support from cell leads and team leads. These individuals are responsible for your growth and development. You will have the opportunity to ship key industrial components not only in North America, but across the entire world. The products we distribute are used in thousands of customer applications and has been growing every year over the past four years. Key Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, and ship sales orders within defined quality and productivity standards.
  • Receive and put-away product from suppliers within defined quality and productivity standards.
  • Assemble and label product in accordance with Company and Customer guidelines

  • Understand department metrics and use to drive personal performance to meet or exceed objectives.
  • Use business supplied tools to participate in problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Perform essential job duties and responsibilities at the Distribution Center and comply with all IMI conduct rules to include safety, attendance, attitude, dress code, etc.
  • Follow 5S and safety practices according to Company standards.

Critical Competencies for Success

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Forklift and Cherry Picker Certification a plus but not required
  • Ability to continually lift 35 pounds and up to 40 pounds on occasion.
  • Ability to stand continuously and/or walk for 8-12 hours per day with intermittent breaks.
  • Ability to use standard typing keyboard and mouse and navigate through Windows based software.
  • Ability to perform general mathematical skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, growth-oriented, and time-critical environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
