Lighting Designer
Entertainment Lighting Comany in La Mirada is seeking a lighting designer to join our growing team. Our designer will work in collaboration with a variety of professionals, including venue designers, engineers and architects. The lighting designs will be for the entertainment industry, concerts, tours, large events, movie productions and more.
Job Duties:
- Analyze venue drawings to identify lighting systems for given site.
- Work with internal account managers and sales personnel to assess client’s expectations.
- When drawings are not provided, may visit project site to determine the client needs.
- Design lighting plan for the site according to customer expectations and budget.
- Work with internal team on availability and quality of lighting fixtures available.
- May work onsite to oversee the installation of lighting and electrical systems.
- May create design ideas for clients upon request when no specifications have been provided.
Requirements:
- Proficient in CAD based design systems, VectorWorks preferred.
- Knowledge of Electrical systems.
- Knowledge of Lighting fixtures and support parameters.
- Previous experience in Entertainment industry preferred.
- Must have strong work ethics.
- Must be well organized and a self-starter.
- Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to interact with employees and clients and contractors in a professional manner.
- Ability to speak and write English.
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high -volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
- Degree in Lighting design or electrical engineering
We are willing to work with recent graduates or current student who want an opportunity to break into the business.
40 Hour+ work week. Schedule will vary based upon business needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
