Modern Woodmen of America’s is looking for a detail oriented and customer focused individual to provide administrative support as a Life Benefits Representative. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our members and field representatives with their requests for information regarding certificate disbursements. This work would require processing disbursements, maintaining records, and preparing reports.

What would you do?

• Respond to initial inquiries concerning certificate disbursements.
• Respond to questions from members, field representatives and other companies concerning tax matters and disbursement options. Provide the necessary documents for each request.
• Analyze requests, review forms, approve and process payments within defined limits.
• Calculate premiums and taxable gains.
• Process reversals of cash surrenders or partial withdrawals.
• Work closely with other operational units to coordinate the movement of internal funds.
• Participate in training and educational programs, including programs designed to monitor inquiries for the purpose of improving service.
• Assist in basic training on select topics.
• Refer cases beyond defined limits to supervisor or manager.

Additional information about this opportunity:

• The hourly pay for this position is $19.50.
• This is a hybrid position (3 days in office/2 days work from home (WFH) per week), located at Modern Woodmen’s home office in Rock Island, IL. Must be able to work in the office 5 days per week for initial job training. Some WFH days during training would be allowed on a case-by-case basis.
• This is a full-time position: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day), Monday- Friday, with flexible start time between 7:00AM-9:00AM.
