Responsibilities:
Dallas Regional Medical Center is looking for an exceptional full time, variable shift Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our Definitive Observation Unit (intermediate care/telemetry). This unit primarily cares for cardiac and neurological diagnosis patients and all of our patients are on cardiac monitoring. Our LVN duties include, but are not limited to:
  • cardiac maintenance and titratable drip care
  • provide direct and indirect patient care services which requires technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care
  • meet the communication needs of the patient and family
  • communicate to the RN about changes in patients’ clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring and results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology
  • able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment
  • performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse
Qualifications:
Education and Work Experience
  • current and valid Texas state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse
  • current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
  • ACLS (AHA), preferred
  • IV certification, required; Blood Withdrawal (BW) certifications, preferred
  • one year experience in an applicable setting, preferred
