Essential Job Functions1. Analyze requests of staff and students to determine needed information and assist in furnishing or locating information.

2. Teach library patrons to search for information using databases.

3. Keep records of circulation and materials in Destiny database.

4. Explain use of library facilities, resources, equipment, and services, and provide information about library policies to stakeholders.

5. Code, classify, and catalog books, publications, films, audiovisual aids, and other library materials based on subject matter or standard library classification systems.

6. Develop information access aids such as indexes and annotated bibliographies, web pages, electronic pathfinders, and on-line tutorials.

7. Plan and deliver client-centered programs and services, storytelling for children, newsletters, or programs.

8. Organize collections of books, publications, documents, audiovisual aids, and other reference materials for convenient access.

9. Collaborate with teachers across contents to co-teach lessons and/or provide resources to enhance student learning.

10. Provides a safe environment for students.

11. Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with building and district staff.

12. Performs additional duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Principal.

In addition to the above requirements, you will also have the opportunity to upload your Pennsylvania Praxis Exam scores, diplomas, transcripts, state-issued certificates, and additional attachments. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position is primarily sedentary in nature. Employee will be required to operate computer system for data entry, and have the ability to complete necessary paperwork. This position requires minimum physical effort and not subjected to Occupational Health and Safety risks.
