LHH Recruitment Solutions is now recruiting for a litigation legal assistant with experience in defense to join a fantastic law firm in Knoxville, Tennessee. We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented professional for this position. You will be responsible for formatting and proofreading legal documents and correspondence; assisting with discovery, hearings, and trials; calendaring and deadline management; and other tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate will be a pleasure to work with, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of three (3) years of defense litigation experience, required
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, preferred
- Knowledgeable in project management
- Strong computer proficiency, especially with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
- Superb grammar, communication, and interpersonal skills with a helpful, proactive mindset
- Understanding of litigation and e-filing procedures
- Solid organizational and time management skills
- High accuracy and attention to detail when proofreading and typing
