RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Receptionist: As receptionist you create the first impression of our law firm. This critically important role requires you to present yourself in a professional, positive, and caring manner. You are often speaking to individuals who are emotional, scared, and uncertain. You can positively impact their state of mind and assist them in navigating a potential solution. Your goal includes building relationships with new, former, and current clients. Ensuring them that our attorneys (law firm) is not only the best fit for them and their problem but that we are the lawyers that will bring them the best possible solution.
  • Answering telephone calls and responding to text and online potential client submissions.
  • Documenting client intake data in a case management system (CLIO)
  • Routing calls, online and text submissions to the appropriate person.
  • Be the link between the attorney and client and assist in follow up for client onboarding.
  • Use or readily learn techniques to use CLIO (a case management/database system) sufficient to access, enter, edit/update, format and manage client files.
  • CLIO case management includes calendaring and court filings, opening and closing files,

maintaining attorneys’ calendars and filing deadlines, filing documents electronically, uploading pleadings and discovery to case management system.

  • Type legal documents and general correspondence.
  • Provide general legal administrative support to attorneys and staff.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of client and firm information.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have outstanding oral communication skills and project a positive attitude.
  • Is friendly and enjoys talking to people.
  • Is patient, caring, empathetic, sympathetic but also effective and efficient.
  • Can multi-task, is organized, detailed and task driven and can perform well in stressful situations.
  • Can prioritize and work in a dynamic fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently but also in a team environment.
  • Will be able to take initiative on work that needs to be done and complete the task.
  • Has a strong work ethic.
  • Is highly motivated to work as a team member and advance their career as well as the law firms’ long-term success.

EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Applicants must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience is not required however prior experience such as general office, legal assistant/administrative or legal secretary experience will be given preference.
  • Completion of legal secretarial or legal administrative school/college or secondary training program or certification is not required but will be given preference.
  • Have great key boarding skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive Case management systems (particularly CLIO) or other software applications are a plus.
  • Have grammar, punctuation, and attention to detail skills.

SALARY

  • Salary range: 41,600 to 52000
  • Starting salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
