This individual helps ensure sales contracts are scheduled and shipped timely and making certain documentation and information flows well between Operations, 3rd party logistics, and Sales.
Hours: 7:30 AM-12:30 PM, schedule open to discussion regarding start time with some flexibility but would like to stay somewhat close to these hours. The ideal candidate will be able to work full time hours 6-7 weeks per year to cover vacations within the team.
Responsibilities:
- Daily compilation of various shipping reports and documentation from the previous business day’s shipments (BOLs, pallet reports, summary reports)
- Stay updated on current day’s loadout schedule, documents late or changed appointment times in loadout log (delayed or rescheduled trucks) and ERP
- Enter sales and logistic contract information into the ERP system, save electronic copies of documents
- Create bills of lading and generate picking lists for loads scheduled for the next day
- Complete inventory reports from previous day’s production
- Troubleshoot shipping issues, ensure loadout has support for picking list generation and other systems support if issues arise
Key Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- Background in transportation, logistics, customer service, or production support preferred
- Self-reliant and motivated individual, experience working in an environment with frequent changes to schedules or plans ideal
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Exceptional written communication skills
- Skilled with Microsoft Office products including Outlook and Excel
