Position Summary
Located just 45 minutes west of downtown St. Louis on more than 300 acres, Purina Farms is home to our well-known Visitor Center and the Purina Event Center. For more than 30 years, we've committed to showing the world the true potential of dogs and cats through a variety of pet-centric events. This family-friendly attraction offers pet lovers of all ages an opportunity to get up close and personal with barnyard animals and amazing dogs and cats.
As a Laborer on the Site Services team, you will be supporting the Site Services Maintenance team and their partner groups at Purina Farms in Gray Summit, Missouri. Your primary role is to support the needs of the Site Services Maintenance team with general housekeeping, and scheduling maintenance of vehicles and support equipment. In addition, as a member of the team, you will also support our partner groups such as the Marketing department. Although your role is critical to our continuous improvement and success, so is your work-life balance. Work isn’t all there is to life, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. • Assist maintenance staff and performs work requiring basic mechanical skills
- Operate and manage company vehicles and farm equipment, i.e. scheduling maintenance, grading, and bush hogging
- Cleaning of mechanical equipment
- Committed to safety at all times
- Work on grounds keeping, i.e., tree trimming, grading, and snow removal
- Work with 3rd party vendors to complete work
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Willing to obtain fork truck certification within first 6 months of employment
Other
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed is preferred
After the 31st day of employment you must become and remain a member in good standing in the union.
