The Pennsylvania HUB will play an integral role in the company’s initiatives to grow revenue through the strategic and scaled roll-out of events and entertainment in the US parks. The role will be responsible for supporting the park teams with the development of creative content in relation to events, shows, character interactions, effects and atmospheric entertainment at Kennywood, Idlewild, Dutch Wonderland and Sandcastle Water Park in order to complement novelty plans and increase visitor NPS. The role will also be the point person for all US parks with regards to the planning and execution of consumer events such as Easter, Halloween and Christmas.
We are currently looking for a:
Kennywood - Pennsylvania HUB Events and Entertainment Manager
Roles & Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Director of Events and Entertainment to evaluate current event and entertainment product at Kennywood, Idlewild, Dutch Wonderland and Sandcastle Water Park.

  • Act as point person for the development and execution of consumer events such as Easter, Halloween and Christmas for all US parks. Offer guidance to park teams on content, infrastructure needs, and vendor selection.
  • Provide actionable insights and direction on how to improve park experience through enhanced, improved, or additional entertainment-based elements. Work with park teams to trouble-shoot challenged executions, identify solutions for improvement.
  • Utilize insights from consumer research, results of park event executions and industry benchmarking to develop and execute event concepts with high consumer appeal, and high revenue and EBITDA growth generation potential.
  • Work with Customer and park teams to develop and execute seasonal calendars of events that drive pass sales, pass revenues, loyalty and increased visit frequency.
  • Partner technical teams to identify potential CAPEX requirements to improve entertainment elements (lighting, sound, staging).
  • Work with parks and vendors to efficiently develop and execute creative concepts.
  • Assist parks with the development of annual budget.
  • Develop efficient methods for safely installing and striking seasonal event elements from parks.

Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
Languages: Fluent English Required

  • Communication – Highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including presentation skills; ability to communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively with a wide range of diverse personnel
  • Financial Acumen – Ability to manage budgets , control and forecast costs
  • Problem Solving/Analysis: Define problems, research and collect data, draw valid conclusions and execute mitigating strategies in a timely manner
  • Project/Program Management: Understand and manage projects and programs from concept to completion. Develop and achieve strategic objectives, plans and time schedules; organize and manage competing priorities, while maintaining a steadfast commitment to detail
  • Flexibility – Handle multiple priorities simultaneously; maintain a flexible work schedule to meet changing demands for multiple concurrent projects
  • Initiative and Adaptability – Take initiative and execute plans to accomplish strategic objectives in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Computer Proficiency – MS Office Suite, Excel, and Outlook
Experience:

  • Minimum three years of leadership experience in theme parks events
  • Experience in creative concept development and deployment
  • Proven experience driving increased profitability via events and entertainment deployment
