As the JR. Refrigeration Technician, a typical day might include the following:

You will operate, inspect and repair our ammonia refrigeration systems in a frozen food manufacturing environment in accordance with IIAR and ASHRAE standards while adhering to all state and local building codes and required safety regulations. Performs periodic inspections to locate and determine cause of equipment malfunctions. Conducts maintenance program inspections to prevent failure of such equipment as ammonia compressors, air compressors, boilers, electrical controls, pumps, fans, and HVAC equipment. Performs general building maintenance as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operation, inspection, and documenting readings of ammonia refrigeration systems.
  • Operation and inspections of Facility equipment.
  • Conducts maintenance, observation, and inspections of such equipment but not limited to: ammonia compressors, air compressors, boilers, electrical controls, pumps, fans and HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning) equipment.
  • Log readings of Facility systems
  • Complete all company assigned training
  • Performs general building equipment observations as needed

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Understand written documents
  • Understand pressure and temperature readings
  • Use of Hand Tool and Power Tools
  • Follow SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) or Equipment Manual directions
  • Basic maintenance equipment repairs like oil and filter changes, belts, bearings and motors
  • Complete LOTO (Lock out tag out) training
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting training and/or experience desired for this position
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States - relocation assistance is available
