Jr. Manufacturing Engineer Job at Springboard Manufacturing
Essential Job Functions:
- Assists with process development, equipment specification, acquisition, and implementation.
- Works with partner groups at manufacturing sites to gain alignment and support to achieve project objectives.
- Assists with design for manufacturability and process development efforts
- Understands and has initiative to take ownership of the mechanical design (Stage-Gate) process with an aptitude towards PDM (Product Data Management) and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) activities.
- Take a hands-on approach and offers in-depth practical mechanical solutions; including, Automation implementation, testing and inspection.
- Understands all functions of automated equipment within area of responsibility to ensure continuous operation and constant output of products
- Evaluate and analyze production processes, schedules, methods and other data and then provide management with reports containing the data to enable management to better understand future requirements needed for the manufacturing process.
- Ensure that the company’s manufacturing processes are in compliance with all government laws and regulations.
- Participate in project meetings and responsible for assigned action items and project deliverables.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and quality standards.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:
- Degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering required.
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering preferred.
- Experience evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and machinery.
- Experience using CAD, CAM, data analysis programs, and related software.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organization and management skills.
- Proven ability to use Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of ISO-9001-2008 and/or AIAG standards a plus.
- Must have excellent attendance record.
- Ability to work safely and with minimal supervision
- Ability to adhere to workplace rules.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
- Standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling.
- Possibility of exposure to noise, uncontrolled temperatures, and chemicals
Job Type: Full-time
