Shared Hospital Services is looking for a Janitorial positions in Portsmouth, Va. This position is primarily Monday- Friday, and Saturdays and is paid a competitive wage. Looking for 1st and 2nd shift 6am-330pm and 11am-8pm.
Reports To: Chief Engineer
Overview: This position is responsible for general cleaning of the building as well as maintaining a hygienically clean work environment in areas where there is direct contact with clean textiles. Other tasks include cleaning restrooms, break rooms, plant 'blow-down' and fire prevention measures.
Minimum Requirements:
Associate must be able to follow instructions and to interact appropriately with coworkers, management, vendors, and guests.
- Associate must be able to stand/walk 100% of the scheduled work day
Associate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds- Associate must be willing to handle potentially infectious materials and to work in unfavorable conditions such as hot and cold temperatures.
Associate must be able to work overtime and weekends as required by the business.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Complete all tasks assigned to each area of the plant as outlined on the daily cleaning schedules.
- Keeps plant, outside building perimeters, restrooms, lunchroom and offices clean.
- Collects and empties trash.
- Blows lint from ceilings, overhanging pipes, etc.., walls and equipment: sweeps floors.
- Refills hand soap and paper towel dispensers.
All other duties as may be assigned by management.
