We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst for a leading financial organization. HYBRID role in Iselin, NJ. Potential for contract extension or permanent hire. ( no benefits during life of the contract)

IT Business Systems Analyst III
The Senior Business Systems Analyst analyzes business and information needs in order to design optimal systems solutions. Working under minimal supervision, this job designs system solutions that are appropriate for business needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. This job also recommends improvements to the existing IT systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities and DutiesIdentifies and analyzes business needs, conducts requirement gathering, and defines scope and objectives of each project.
Makes recommendations for solutions or improvements to business processes that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.
Translates business requirements into application requirements, and works with all members of the team to execute the application successfully.
Engages client teams and explains moderately complex initiatives in an understandable manner, while also addressing any hesitations or concerns from the client.
Estimates the costs of various system solutions and prepares project plans to provide input into decisions about prioritizing projects and allocating IT resources.
Prepares and maintains technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.
Coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals.

Confer with respective stakeholder’s concerns to ensure successful implementation of systems and/or procedures.
Document findings of study and prepare recommendations for implementation of new systems or procedures.
Facilitate meetings with business and technology stakeholders.
Required: 3 years of experience in financial services industry, Managed Accounts experience a plus.
Experience evaluating and testing systems and features to meet business requirements.
Proficient in writing business requirements and defining solutions to problems.
IT background; familiar working with systems
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred skills: Strong customer service skills and experience collaborating with remote teams.
Strong team-oriented interpersonal skills
System Development Life Cycle: Knowledge and experience with system development life cycle in waterfall and agile methodologies.
Agile Methodology: Experience working in a team using agile methodology; includes story creation and story grooming, facilitating stand-up calls and sprint planning. Familiarity with jira a plus.
Documentation: Create Functional Requirements Document (FRD) to be reviewed with business and technology stakeholders.
Collaborate with business users: Collaborate with business stakeholders in documenting and/or analyzing business requirements documents (BRD). Conduct interviews to document existing workflow processes and facilitate process improvement opportunities and design new systems.
Business Process workflow design: Experience working with business and technology stakeholders to design process workflow solutions.
Collaborate and coordinate with technology teams: Work with multiple technology teams to create system solutions
Financial Services knowledge: Experience in the financial services industry; Managed Accounts knowledge a plus.
System Development Life CycleAgile Methodology: Experience working in a team using agile methodology; including story creation, stand-up calls, story grooming and sprint planning. Familiarity with jira a plus.
Data analysis: Experience with data analysis, data mapping and process flow
Relational Database: Understands concepts of relational database, data modeling, SQL. Oracle experience a plus.

QA/UAT: Experience working with and coordinating with Quality Assurance (QA) teams and with business during QA and User Acceptance testing, facilitating issue and defect tracking.

Postman: Experience using postman to design, build and test APIs

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $82.00 per hour
