Schedule: Monday-Friday 11 AM – 7:30 PM with OT
Job Purpose:
Compiles and maintains records of quantity, type and value of finished goods inventory warehoused in the Grovetown Distribution Center, makes sure inventory is accurate, allocates customer orders, maintains a balanced pick, research shipping errors, and creates replenishment assignments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Check write-ups from customer service for customer orders, when issues are found identifies the issue and resolves it by making the necessary adjustments and researching the root cause
- Complete required training and acquire skill set to operate a stand up forklift to pull replenishments and help with put-away.
- Supports other DC areas to facilitate customer order processing; including but not limited to replenishment, receiving, shipping, full case picking and slotting
- Operates a Lucas headset, process and fill customer orders
- Runs a report hourly to identify any allocation issues with customer orders, resolves the said issues.
- Removes carton from line and places in appropriate stock location.
- Does stock adjustments as necessary to correct inventory
- Slotting—keeping the high moving product close to the belt to decrease travel time for pickers and the slow-moving product further back
- Research shipping errors, including but not limited to, counting the picks, checking bulk cases for vendor errors, using Smart Office to look at history of product
- Research variances found by cycle count
- Pulls product for QC to inspect when requested
- Puts replenishments in order and scans them to create assignments
Skills/Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Teamwork:
Contributes to building a positive team spirit.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Forklift operator license issued by Augusta Sportswear following the completion of scheduled training and passing both a written and a driving test.
Computer skills:
Ability to utilize a computer to complete assignments. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Physical Demands:
Good color vision preferable. Frequently required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
