Essential Job Duties

• Conduct financial and operational risk-based audits of company subsidiaries to establish and monitor compliance of policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements; conducts or participates in onsite operational and performance audits and reviews,
• Review the goals and management objectives of the organization and evaluates secondary performance in attaining targets; evaluate organizational risk,
• Research and interpret regulatory requirements and relevant legal guidelines and ordinances,
• Identify and analyze inefficient and/or noncompliant practices; determine appropriate corrective measures, submit recommendations, and monitor progress,
• Maintain active communications with financial analysts and personnel, other departments, and management to maintain accuracy of records and reporting, and obtain and disseminate information,
• Receive subsidiary inquiries and concerns, ascertain the nature of the request, and resolve personally, direct to the appropriate individual or department, or act as liaison; interpret policies and procedures,
• Prepare and coordinate various monthly, quarterly and/or year-end audits and reports for management review; perform a variety of critical record keeping duties,
• Review, evaluate and ensure the accuracy of auditing and reporting tasks; generates various system reports, audits, and calculations to verify accuracy in system processing, e.g., financial and operations reporting, financial control summaries, audit reports, special project results,
• Accomplish departmental administrative functions according to established schedules, calendars, projects, and programs of the assigned department,
• Position requires driving on a regular basis,
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education, Training and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field,
• One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (CIA, CPA, CMA, or CISA certification may substitute for one (1) year of work experience,
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows work groups,
• Must possess knowledge of data-mining software, e., ACL, Active Data. Must have excellent written and verbal presentation skills,
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or other related professional designation preferred.
