Inside Sales Representative Job at Prince Corporation
Summary/Objective The primary function of an Inside Sales Representatives will be to contact customers to increase sales by upselling, providing promotional sales information, and promoting Prince Building System product. Position will analyze job requirement and project proposals for specialty vendors to estimate amounts and type of materials required to complete tasks. Will work closely with contractors and/or customer to evaluate relative risks or potential delays, determining whether they can complete their project within the desired time frame
Essential Functions
- Prospect, qualify and generate sales within an assigned geographic area and customer base, utilizing phone and electronic communications
- Process documentation in accordance with standard operating procedures for quotations, special pricing approval, order follow-up, problem resolution and order expediting. Manage contracts for assigned customers
- Collaborate with Marketing and other internal teams to provide key customer insight and feedback
- Work with the Customer Service department to create action plans to ensure customers are receiving orders on time and the orders are correct and complete, always exceeding the customers' expectations
- Solidify customer relationships as a trusted, consultative business partner
- Build and maintain an active sales funnel including cross-sell opportunities with current customers
- Acquire and demonstrate outstanding knowledge of all Prince Building Systems offerings
Competencies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required
- Formal telephone sales training a plus
- Proficiency in professional selling skills and account management
- Ability to build relationships with key decision makers
- Proficient knowledge in word processing, spreadsheets, and/or database applications (e.g., MS Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Flexible and resourceful, ready to step in wherever needed
- Confidently engage customers using a proactive outbound sales call approach
- Ability to independently prospect and develop accounts to uncover sales opportunities
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
General Office Setting. Work from home option available for the right applicants.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work Company Business hours are 7:00-4:30. Majority of hours should be put in during that time due to access of supporting staff. Position affords some flexibility with schedule worked.
Travel
Occasional travel will be needed to visit with dealers. Compensation will be provided.
Required Education and Experience
- Previous Sales experience highly desired
- Previous experience in the building industry highly desirable (Contractor, Builder, Residential, Estimating, etc.)
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- A valid state driver's license
