Job Purpose
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for providing Barron customers with excellent customer service, and performing administrative support to the outside sales & inside sales team.
Duties may include fielding telephone calls, vendor interaction, preparing quotes and following up on quotes, receiving and directing visitors, word processing, creating spreadsheets, and filing. Extensive software skills, Internet research abilities and strong communication skills are required.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Provides excellent customer service to all external customers and employees at Barron Equipment
- Answers incoming calls and directs phone calls to appropriate employees
- Assists with walk-in customers, email requests and incoming call requests
- Provides sales support for Outside Sales team
- Prepares quotes, converts quotes to orders then follows up on the status of pending quotes and orders requested by sales
- Contacts vendor reps to acquire quotes for Outside Sales
- Acts as a backup to the Service Department in regards to scheduling installs and general service calls. Prepares job sheets as needed.
- Assists Caster Sales & other Sales Reps as needed
- Demonstrates the ability to multi-task to complete job duties
- Possesses attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Provides support to customers at Barron Corporate Office
- Displays a positive, friendly and respectful attitude towards customers and co-workers
- Maintains a safe and clean environment by keeping workstations neat and organized
- Follows Barron Equipment’s policies and procedures
- Follows Barron Equipment’s safety policy
- Maintains good attendance
- Conforms to company dress code
- Attends department meetings
- Other duties as assigned by management *
*Supervisory Responsibilities*
- This position does not require any supervisory duties*.
*Physical Demands
- Occasionally lifts 10-20 lbs; boxes, paperwork
- Performs 6 hours of an 8 hour work day in a sitting position behind a desk
- Operates a fax & copy machine
- Frequently types on a keyboard
- Frequently lifts phone receiver to speak with customers and employees
- Reaches overhead to file paperwork
- Climbs stairs to employee lounge and conference room
Cognitive Demands*
- Calculates unit pricing for parts & services on excel spreadsheet
- Uses a calculator to determine percentage of customer vs vendor pricing
- Is proficient on how to determine cost and profit
- Applies good reasoning for handling customer complaints

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
