HVAC Piping Detailer Designer

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

We are searching for a skilled HVAC Piping Detailer Designer who assists with MEP projects. The HVAC Piping Detailer has the technical skills to create accurate and detailed shop drawings. The HVAC Piping Detailer is responsible for coordinating drawings with other trades and works closely with assigned project managers, construction supervision, field personnel, vendors and design engineers.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Uses AutoCAD MEP/Navis to create MEP BIM models and field/shop drawings
• Produces drawings consistent with instruction, guidelines and standards
• Coordinates drawings with other team members and departments
• Creates spool drawings for fabrication and shop drawings for installation
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment
• Attends Construction Coordination meetings
• Visits project jobsites as necessary
• Performs other duties as directed by Strategic Business Unit Leaders

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school degree required
• 1 year of mechanical piping field experience preferred
• Intermediate knowledge of and experience with AutoCAD MEP
• Intermediate knowledge of and experience with Navisworks
• Revit knowledge and experience are a plus
• Ability to work with a team at all levels of an organization
• Attention to detail and the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies
• Ability to be highly motivated, reliable and punctual each day
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage time and handle multiple projects and priorities
