Position Summary:
The HR Recruiter is responsible for the timely and efficient recruitment, hiring and on-boarding of a variety of positions necessary to support the physicians and departments of Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine.
Position Responsibilities/Standards:
General
  • Attend department or company meetings as required
  • Demonstrate sound judgment by taking appropriate actions regarding questionable findings or concerns
  • Consistently work in a positive and cooperative manner with fellow staff members.
  • Consistently demonstrate ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs, such as reprioritizing work as necessary.
  • Attend required annual in-service programs.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all company policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to established facility safety requirements and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Identifies potentially unsafe situations and notifies supervisor.

Specific Duties

  • Posts approved positions in the applicant tracking system and determines best source(s) for identifying recruitment of qualified candidates.
  • Sources, screens and recruit candidates to fill open positions.
  • Sources and screens candidates for future openings and/or hard to fill positions
  • Reviews applications and resumes, interview applicants, coordinates with manager/supervisor for interviews.
  • Advertise and promote positions
  • Provides feedback and recommendations to managers on candidate selection.
  • Extends pre-approved job offers to candidate.
  • Schedules pre-employment testing and criminal background checks.
  • Provides information to candidate such as orientation dates/times and benefit package.
  • Ensures applicants complete necessary documentation for proper on-boarding.
  • Checks references of new hires if requested
  • Facilitate orientation
  • Conduct 60-day follow-up meetings with all new hires
  • Participates in the planning of special HR programs, services and events for improving employee engagement.
  • Attends Job and Career fair as necessary
  • Develop and Administer Stay Interviews for a selected group on a quarterly basis.
  • Responsible for completing employment verifications and various other generalist projects.
  • May be assigned other duties.
Education/Experience Required:
  • Must have a Bachelors Degree or applicable experience.
  • HR Certification preferred
Physical Requirements:
Physical requirements for the position include the ability to frequently hear and communicate orally, see up close and at a distance, read and comprehend, stand, sit, walk, reach, handle, and/or feel objects. Must be able to climb, pull, push and kneel. Maximum unassisted lift = 50 lbs. Average lift 25-50 lbs.
