Timpte is looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our HR Team at our David City, NE location!


The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for creating, updating and applying all HR policies and company guidelines. Specific areas of focus to include recruiting, employee relations, performance management, training, and other special projects.


Job Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibilities for this position include:
    • Create and administer a recruitment plan for the organization to ensure staffing objectives are met across the organization.
    • Track turnover metrics and conduct and participate in Exit interviews and employee engagement activities to reduce turnover.
    • Resolve employee-relation issues within scope and in accordance with company policy and practice and participate in corrective action, performance concerns, employee separation, and conflict resolution.
  • Assist supervisors with employee disciplinary actions and terminations as needed. Process and document change and termination notices.
  • Create onboarding plans including educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, coordinating and tracking 60 day reviews, annual performance evaluations with supervisors and managers in each department.
  • Conduct training sessions on various subject areas: Supervisor training, Employee orientations, other HR related training.
  • Development and application of corporate policy and practice in accordance with Federal and local laws, and industry recognized best business practices.
  • Communicate and administer HR Policies, procedures, and strategies that balance the needs of the business unit with employee needs.
  • Other duties as assigned by management or required by the position.

Desired Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications
  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in related field and 3-5 years of Human Resources experience.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs; Excel, word, Powerpoint, etc.
  • Must have good interpersonal and organizations skills.
  • Must have good oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record for occasional travel.
