We're looking for a full-time Human Resources Assistant at our Fort Washington, PA location.
Carson Valley Children's Aid is a non-profit social services organization that has empowered youth and families in the Greater Philadelphia region for over 100 years. Vaccination Requirements: Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (2 doses of Moderna/Pfizer or 1 dose of Janssen).
Role Type: Full-time
Work Schedule: 40 hours per workweek. Monday to Friday, approx. 9 A.M. to 5 P.M.
Work Setting: The primary work location is CVCA's HR office in Fort Washington, PA. The HR Assistant may travel locally as needed (e.g. to the post office, to other CVCA sites, etc.).
Essential Job Functions:
- File paperwork into personnel and medical folders.
- Update employee information and upload scanned documents into the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
- Purge and archive files as required.
- Maintain off-site storage file lists.
- Locate and send documents to the Quality & Compliance department and other relevant staff members to comply with state, county, and fiscal audits.
- Respond to or forward emails in the HR inbox.
- Be responsible for petty cash.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail.
- Keep track of office supply inventory and place orders when stock is needed.
- Maintain an adequate supply of pre-employment new hire packets.
- Complete employment verification and Act 168 requests from other organizations.
- As needed, support the Administrative Assistant to Recruiters with onboarding and credentialing new hires.

- Proficiency in using office technology and thorough knowledge of Microsoft products including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and OneDrive
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Role Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or better in a related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience working in an office environment, preferably in a human resources department
- Must be able to commute daily to Fort Washington, PA
