Position Summary
Provides human resources support to applicants, employees and management in the areas of employment and compliance. Initial support will be directed at supporting COVID-19 tracking and reporting in addition to full support of the employee life cycle from recruiting to investigation and separations. You'll have a high focus on customer service, attention to detail is a must since accurate, timely reporting of facts is critical. You'll need to be able to walk in the door already familiar with the regulatory environment related to COVID-19 compliance and reporting requirements. After getting up to speed the position will support all HR related matters for the full employee life cycle.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provides support and guidance to HR team when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; will be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures and regulations.
- Generate official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary slips and warning letters.
- Taking appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations and addressing employee grievances.
- Maintains digital files for employees and their documents, benefits and attendance records.
- Administering compensation and benefit plan.
- Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
- Coordinate employee development plans and annual employee performance reviews.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Work Experience
- 5+ years HR experience, high volume, high turnover retail environment
- Required Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- Desired Master's degree in Human Resources or related field
- Must 2+ years ADP WorkforceNow experience
- Certified PHR, SPHR, CP, SCP preferred
- Excellent Problem Solver
