BASIC FUNCTION:
This position is primarily responsible for cleaning the rooms, laundry, inventory, and other projects as needed. This position is a key part of our team and is vital to the success of our business as it has the most direct impact on the quality of our guest’s overall experience. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE
- Customer Service oriented.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous housekeeping or maintenance experience preferred, but not required.
- Carpet and Floor care experience helpful
- Must work well with coworkers.
- Must be able to speak conversational English.
- Strong organizational skills are essential
- Able to work independently.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Clean rooms including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, changing bed linens, cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms, kitchen and living room areas, etc.
- Cleans decks and fireplaces, transports clean and dirty linen, stocks linen and supply rooms
- Sort, stain treat, wash, fold and iron laundry
- Maintain a clean and organized laundry room and storage spaces
- Monitor and control inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies
- Troubleshoot problems, address minor issues and communicate larger maintenance and repair issues to maintenance
- Communicate with team about the status of rooms, laundry and guest’s special requests or other issues
- Maintain consistency with our housekeeping procedures to ensure quality cleaning standards and compliance
- Assist maintenance departments tasks as needed
- Deep clean floors and carpets as requested.
ENVIRONMENT:
This is a physically demanding position. You may have to carry all of your supplies, linens and equipment up and down stairs, on sidewalks outside, and sometimes for a considerable distance. This will need to be done regardless of weather conditions. There are multiple types of units that need to be serviced. You may work with another employee but frequently you may be expected to work alone. This position does most of the heavy lifting and moving that the maintenance and housekeeping departments need.
PAY RANGE:
$15.74 - $18.00
