Job description:

We are looking for a Room Attendant to join our team and provide excellent customer service to our hotel guests. Housekeeper responsibilities include changing towels, making beds and cleaning bathrooms. If you’re interesting in kickstarting your career in the hotel industry, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will ensure a pleasant and comfortable experience for our guests during their stay with us.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending and stooping.

2. Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.

3. Strip and make beds, changing bed linens, which may require lifting bedspreads weighing a maximum of 50 lbs.

4. Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly.

5. Push and pull vacuum throughout entire room and empty trash.

6. Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest room.

7. Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms and restock heavy cart. Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room.

8. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.

9. Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment. Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms over head to perform cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces.

FUNCIONES ESENCIALES DEL TRABAJO:

1. Limpiar bañera, excusado, lavabo, paredes, espejos, mosaico, mostradores y superficies de los pisos utilizando paños, trapeadores, esponjas, cepillos o agentes de limpieza extendiendo los brazos sobre la cabeza, inclinándose y agachándose.

2. Ajustarse a los procedimientos e instrucciones para el uso de agentes de limpieza.

3. Quitar la ropa de las camas y hacerlas, cambiando la ropa blanca, lo que puede exigir el levantamiento de colchas con un peso máximo de 50 libras.

4. Sacudir minuciosamente todos muebles, fotos, cajones, repisas de ventana y estantes.

5. Empujar y tirar de una aspiradora por toda la habitación y vaciar la basura.

6. Reponer las amenities, ropa blanca y suministros en la habitación del huésped.

7. Firmar el recibo de las llaves de las habitaciones, recoger el pesado carro de la limpieza, empujarlo a las habitaciones asignadas y reabastecerlo. Inspeccionar visualmente la habitación para asegurar su limpieza y aspecto

e indicar la finalización de la habitación.

8. Cumplir las normas de asistencia y estar disponible para trabajar de modo regular.

9. Realizar cualquier otra tarea de trabajo que se le asigne.

HABILIDADES Y CAPACIDADES NECESARIAS:

Debe tener la capacidad de comunicarse en inglés. Personalidad independiente y temperamento equilibrado. Mantener un aspecto y conducta profesionales en todo momento. Poder comunicarse bien con los huéspedes. Debe estar dispuesto a "echar una mano" y ayudar a los compañeros de trabajo con sus deberes laborales y ser un jugador de equipo. Tener conocimiento de los agentes químicos de limpieza y el funcionamiento de diversos equipos para la limpieza. Capacidad de empujar o tirar de equipos hasta 100 libras. Capacidad para fregar y limpiar superficies, extender los brazos por encima de la cabeza para realizar tareas de limpieza y trabajar en espacios reducidos.
