Primary Position

To repair and maintain physical structure of hotel using hand tools and power tools.

Essential Responsibilities:

· Supervises subordinate Maintenance personnel. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training team members. Recommends applicants for selection. Plans, assigns and directs work.

• Maintains hotel, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities, using hand tools.
• Replaces air conditioner filters.
• Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating and ventilating equipment.
• May tend furnace, air conditioner, and boiler to provide heat, cool air, and hot water for guests.
• All other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.

Skills and Abilities:

This position requires a hands-on approach (move, lift, carry, push, pull, and handle objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance). You will be on your feet and moving with purpose (stand, sit, or walk for an extended time).
