Inova Health System is looking for a Pharmacy Technician 2 to join the Hospital Pharmacy team. This position is full-time Monday-Friday, with rotating weekends. Eligible for Sign-On Bonus. Must have 1 year of experience working in a hospital pharmacy and VA Pharmacy Tech License active upon start.

Job Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates proficiency in IV Admixture procedures including using aseptic technique in preparation of medications, calculations, maintenance of clean area and complete documentation.
• Takes ownership for the control, accountability and distribution of controlled drugs in the Pharmacy. Accurately controls medications from the vault using Secure Med or CII Safe.
• Performs monthly unit inspections and monitors expiration dates. Demonstrates knowledge about and participates in department quality programs.

Additional Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• IV Experience/Training Required
• 1 Year Hospital Pharmacy Experience Required
• Certified Pharmacy Tech Within 6 Months
• VA Pharmacy Tech License Active UPON START
• Fulltime M-F Rotating Weekends Days/Evenings
