Tyndale Company, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Helpdesk Technician to join our IT Team located in Pipersville, PA. The Helpdesk Technician will ensure all Tyndale members’ equipment (computers, phones, printers, etc.) and software are functioning properly. The Helpdesk Technician will also work in collaboration with the Systems Administrators and the IT department to provide positive and seamless IT support to all end users.
Responsibilities
- Primary contact for troubleshooting workstations, phones, mobile devices, printers, etc.
- Work with MS Active Directory domain, including user, computer, and group management
- Document procedures in the collaborative knowledge base
- Work with the IT department’s vendors for purposes of coordination as needed;
- Maintain physical equipment (including desktops, laptops, peripherals, etc.) and make purchases to replenish inventory as needed;
- Assist in the research, planning, and implementation of new technologies and projects
Qualifications
Experience
- 1 year relevant experience required;
- Detail and task-oriented;
- Proactive in identifying problems and determining appropriate solutions;
- Strong communications skills in regards to dealing with end users and vendors.
Education and Training
- Associate’s degree in computer science or equivalent technical training/experience required;
- Certifications preferred, but not mandatory;
- MCITP: Enterprise and Server Administrator certification preferred
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of PC and desktop hardware and internal components;
- Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems required;
- Knowledge of and experience with a Microsoft enterprise environment (Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange, etc.) preferred;
- Basic network skills preferred: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Ethernet switching, basic routing;
- Skills in Apple iOS – iPhone, iPad experience preferred
