We are looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team for ongoing work at U.S. Naval Base Guantanamo Bay (GTMO), Cuba. Relocation to GTMO is required for up to one year. Current U.S. Passport required and in-depth background check must be cleared to gain access to the military base.

GENERAL SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL PURPOSE: This position is responsible for operating one or several types of power construction equipment, such as motor graders, bulldozers, scrapers, compressors, pumps, derricks, shovels, tractors, or front-end loaders to excavate, move, and grade earth, erect structures, or pour concrete or other hard surface pavement, as well as repairing and maintaining all equipment as appropriate. This is all to be done using the appropriate equipment and implementing the required safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• A high school diploma or GED is the minimum formal education required for this position.
• Three (3) or more years' experience in field or trade work experience in the construction industry highly desirable; government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, etc.) preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour Certifications required; EM-385 preferred; training can be provided.
