PeopleReady Skilled Trades is looking for Heavy Equipment Operators to help us on various projects In Sparks Area. Blade Operator, D10 Operator, D8 Operator, D6 Operator, 40 Ton Rock Truck and/or 8K Water pull Operator

Note - Pay rate for this job is $28 - $32 / hour

Job Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy equipment, such as bulldozers, backhoes, excavators, and loaders, to move materials and excavate land surfaces for construction projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and survey data to plan and execute projects
  • Follow safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe work environment
  • Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure proper operation and prevent breakdowns
  • Collaborate with construction crews to ensure the timely completion of projects
  • Keep accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities
  • Perform minor repairs on equipment and perform routine maintenance, such as changing oil and filters
  • Operate equipment in a variety of weather conditions and terrains
  • Follow regulations and requirements for the transportation of equipment to and from job sites
  • Communicate with supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks and ensure successful project completion.
  • Working outdoors in appropriate safety and protective equipment
  • Operating a variety of heavy equipment safely via hand signals, radio communication and using occupant safety devices
  • Performing pre-operational checks of equipment as well as basic maintenance on track or rubber tire undercarriage, buckets, and attachments; lubricating equipment components and attachments
  • Completing and maintaining equipment log sheets and reports Performing site planning and setup by assessing jobsite conditions and identifying or selecting appropriate attachments for the work to be done
  • Acquiring and using a knowledge of earthmoving fundamentals (soil characteristics, ground conditions, map reading) as well as relevant health and safety
Requirements:
  • E-Verify - Eligible to work in the USA
  • Valid certification and five years' experience with heavy construction equipment and trucks and/or three years performing heavy equipment maintenance
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, diesel engines, electronics, and Department of Transportation regulations
  • Valid drivers license
  • Jobsite tools and ability to bring them
  • References to verify your professional skills and experience
  • Capable of occasionally lifting and moving over 50 pounds and remaining stationary for extended periods of time
