Plant-Tek, Inc is seeking a mature, communicative, hardworking, ethical individual to become part of our landscape pest control team. Plant-Tek, Inc. is a 38-year-old plant health care, licensed landscape pest management company located in Escondido, CA. We serve residential and commercial customers in San Diego County and parts of Riverside and Orange Counties.
Qualification Requirements:
Some knowledge of landscape plants, pests and diseases is a plus
Qualified Applicator License or ability study for and obtain license within a year
Able to work well with landscapers and homeowners
Able to work independently
Availability to work some over-time hours
A clean driving record is required.
A high school diploma or GED is required
Spanish is a plus but not required
Work is all done outside in hot or cold weather
Work hours are usually 6:30AM - 2:30PM but some jobs are scheduled for the very early morning hours. Most days technicians are done by 1 PM and can go home.
Some work is scheduled on a weekend.
Will train the right individual
Duties:
Operation of truck mounted power spray equipment and hand held equipment for application of various insecticides, fungicides, miticides and fertilizers to landscape plant material.
Application of herbicides for pre and post emergent weed control.
Mixing and applying products according to label rates.
Record and complete work orders for each customer served.
Starting Salary: $20-$26
