Base Pay Range:
$225,961.00 - $338,942.00
Job Summary:
This leader delivers progress towards critical Vroom business goals by ensuring every product & technology team (“team”) is delivering its quarterly OKRs. In addition, the leader ensures each team’s OKRs are directly mapped to a core Vroom objective, and that each of the many Vroom growth plan drivers are staffed appropriately to deliver the required outcome with high predictability. A key partner to the Technology Team, the head of product ensures every team’s output is measurable and consistent.
Further, in collaboration with the Technology Team, the head of product ensures that the many disciplines involved in delivering software projects are operating effectively together, with the overall objective of creating a culture of experimentation and excellence. This requires the head of product and the head of technology to provide clarity of roles/ responsibilities, to structure the product, design and technology organizations for scale and velocity, and to continually up level Vroom’s overall talent.
Responsibilities:
- Strategically form a powerful team and ensure the economic success of the company by constantly. Developing new innovations in a sustained manner.
- Strategic planning and management of the entire product portfolio.
- Parallelize Vroom product growth by creating incremental capacity for new work - an inherently complex and ambiguous mission that must ramp up quickly and deliver value consistently, with careful attention to the return created by any engagement.
- Driver of the group’s vision; overseeing the development and management of the product roadmap
- Strategically think through each step of the product life cycle, from the initial design to the business and how to eventually launch and distribute the product.
- Work with Software Engineers to identify and solve technology problems and ensure that the product delivers a positive user experience.
- Manage the budgeting process, making revenue projections and managing cash flow, and be able to communicate this information with company leadership effectively. #L1-CL1
