Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain hatchery sanitation through cleaning and disinfecting setters, hatchers, hatchery rooms, and materials associated with hatchery procedures.
- Perform hatchery maintenance to building and equipment as directed.
- Assist as directed with hatchery functions
- Receiving and sorting hatching eggs for storage.
- Assembling hatching eggs by line for set.
- Candle eggs for fertility check.
- Transfer sets from setters to hatchers.
- Chick servicing for grading, banding, injecting, spraying, weighing, meconium sampling, rectal temperature readings.
- Assist with laundry and cleaning of shower and breakroom areas.
- Must shower in/out of facility
- Comply with Job Safety Rules, Biosecurity regulations, and Bird Welfare Policy.
