This is a hybrid position. 3 days in office, 2 days remote.
Responsibilities

  • Verifies patient insurance coverage prior to patient appointments and ensures the necessary procedures are covered by a patients' insurance plan.
  • Obtains all necessary information from patients pre-encounter to ensure patients get on treatment in a timely manner.
  • Communicates with patients about financial responsibility and appointments, including amounts due at time of service and any account balances.
  • Works collaboratively with internal departments to coordinate Patient Journey
  • Assists patients with enrolling in copay assistance programs for high-cost medications.
  • Manage all of the communication between the doctor’s office, the patient, and our corporate office.
  • Request and process referrals required by HMO plans. Communicate with practice prior to their appointment about the referral required for their plan.
  • Answering incoming calls and making outbound phone calls to patients and payers. Documents all call notes with detail in the patient chart.
  • Ensures all insurance information has been completely and accurately obtained. Documents all pertinent insurance information. Documents information given or received to support actions taken on insurance charges or referral issues.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to work unscheduled patient report to get patient on treatment in a timely manner
  • Conduct weekly calls with internal departments to ensure patients get on treatment in a timely manner; address any concerns pertaining to delay in service.
  • Other Job related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 year of work experience with verifying insurances
