Summary: Assist with all aspects of grounds maintenance throughout City Park.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):

• Operates City Park equipment including but not limited to vehicles, small garden tractors, small engine machines, zero turn mowers and other equipment necessary
• Mowing, edging, weed eating and blowing of all assigned areas
• Spraying of herbicides
• Willingness to learn and be trained on larger equipment used in grounds maintenance
• Pickup and removal of all loose paper and debris in assigned area
• Removal of all debris, including tree branches, tires, dead animals, furniture, car parts and any other unwanted debris that is left on park grounds.
• Reporting of graffiti, large debris, or other unwanted items on park grounds so they are immediately addressed
• Cleaning and maintenance of equipment and tools used throughout the daily course of work
• Cleaning of drains and catch basins
• Assisting other team members and departments as necessary

Qualifications and education requirements:

• High School diploma or GED and three (3) years related experience.
• A valid Louisiana driver’s license.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
