Responsibilities:


What you’ll be doing:

If you’re a designer who wants to collaborate on great design approaches, then create dynamic graphics, presentations, and videos, look no further. Your designs will help Pinioneers succeed when they walk in the door every day. As part of internal comms, you’ll provide the catalyst for employee engagement, the source of truth for “who knows the answer” and “what should I do”, and the storytelling that makes our firm’s goals and strategies accessible to every team member.


The designer we’re looking for:

    They'll see how design builds trust and know how to execute breathtaking visuals in all communication vehicles, including PowerPoint, video, infographics, email, social and more
  • Sees the people beyond the projects. Understands why we’re designing and has empathy and understanding of our employees, so they can design with accuracy, clarity, and emotion
  • Collaborates. Knows that communications is a team sport and that great teamwork creates great results
  • Feels the need for speed. Thrives on urgency and changing priorities, as long as creativity and quality aren't compromised

Qualifications:

What you’ll need:

  • World-class graphic design using a range of tools and systems. Mastery of Adobe Suite (specifically Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Photoshop) and PowerPoint required. Adobe Audition and Articulate 360 preferred.
  • Excellent artistic sensibility, with a passion for great typography and layout; ability to synthesize bullets and text into storytelling infographics using vector art and creative backgrounds.
  • Experience in a high volume, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities; ability to jump in fast and work quickly and confidently, applying edits and switching elements on the fly to meet tight deadlines.
  • Significant experience creating PowerPoint decks that are beautiful and bullet-free.
  • Proficiency in video design and editing. Podcast editing a plus.
  • Strong proofreading skills and judgement to evaluate copy being designed for errors or omissions (sentence structure, grammar, varied vocabulary, spelling, and style).
  • Experience with project management using a SaaS tool such as Monday.com, Wrike, Asana, or Trello.
  • High EQ (Emotional Intelligence) and confidence managing design for cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience designing in a Windows PC environment a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in a corporate design, in-house agency, or agency role strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or greater in graphic design or communications - or equivalent work experience.

In some states and municipalities, Pinion is required by law to include a reasonable estimate for range of compensation. When making compensation decisions, Pinion takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications/licenses, and geographic location. The wide range for this role reasonably accounts for these factors. Specific compensation decisions are made based on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $65,000 to $95,000.
